The Universitaet Klagenfurt (UNI-KLU) was founded in 1970 and includes four faculties: the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Technical Sciences and Faculty of Management and Economics with locations in Klagenfurt, Graz and Vienna, Austria. More than 10,000 students from over 80 countries are currently studying at the Universitaet Klagenfurt as well as more than 1500 staff members. The university has significant experience with EU projects including 33 FP7 or Horizon 2020 grants. The university research clusters are designed to align with the “Grand Challenges” and including university-wide interdisciplinary research initiatives in Public Health, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship. The university-wide research cluster in “Public Health” is unique in its focus on mental and family health, specifically. The initiative focuses on dissemination and implementation of public health intervention for mental health problems, early intervention, and technological solutions for epidemiology and prevention. The existing research cluster is well suited to support this project by bringing interdisciplinary expertise in health care policy, technological solutions, marketing, and management, as well as expertise in clinical care and behavioral interventions.
