Brief description of the organization:

Bangor University is a medium sized University with approximately 10 000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. It ranked in the top 25 (out of 134) Universities in the UK for research excellence in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF). The research record of the School of Psychology has been one of remarkable growth and achievement, reaching both top teaching standards and extremely high marks in the 2001, 2008 RAE results and most recently in REF 2014 where 89% of the research outputs were ranked ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’. The School was one of only two UK Psychology departments that ranked in the top 20 for research and teaching excellence (REF) in 2014 (2014). It was ranked within the top 150 Psychology departments world-wide by the 2015 QS World University Rankings. It has British Psychological Society fully accredited degree programmes and is one of the largest UK Schools of Psychology with over 1,200 students and one of the oldest having been established in 1963.
