Dr. Elena Jansen

Dr Elena Jansen is a postdoc at the Institute of Psychology (Health Psychology) at the Alpen-Adria University. Her work is focused on managing data collection and conducting analyses within the RISE study. Elena has done statistical analyses on large national data sets and a randomized controlled trial across the disciplines of psychology and nutrition and dietetics, with funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council or the Australian Research Council. Her research projects have focused on health and learning in the early years of life. A common theme is children’s early relationship with their parental and non-parental caregivers and how these interactions relate to child health and behavioural outcomes. The role of fathers is of particular interest here. An additional research interest is measurement development. Elena has developed and validated the Feeding Practices and Structure Questionnaire which is currently being used in several different countries.
